Inspiration

In the summer of 1989, a small group of citizens in Leipzig began gathering for Monday Peace Prayers. Within weeks, those gatherings grew from a few dozen people to over 320,000—and on November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall fell without a shot fired. Research shows it takes only about 3.5% of a population acting consistently and courageously to create lasting change.

In this short video, I explore how inspiration—the emotion that connects people to their highest aspirations—is the most powerful force a leader can harness. When people see their deepest values and hopes reflected in a shared vision, they find the energy to act. And when enough people get inspired, change becomes inevitable.
