Resilience — the ability to overcome setbacks — can be built. Psychologist Barbara Fredrickson’s research shows that what drives and fosters resilience is positive emotions: optimism, inspiration, joy, hope, curiosity, confidence, and more. And the good news is that these emotions can be cultivated.
